Globalization brought the need to learn and respect cultural diversity. To facilitate a dialogue between people of different countries and cultures, the knowledge of languages is essential. With Lingofriends, anyone can explore new possibilities to learn a foreign language and communicate with people around the world, without leaving their home.

Today’s media has a certain focus on the challenge for young people to enter business life. Language skills are very often crucial for getting an employment. Language skills are of great value for anybody and as a foreign language is also a door to understanding another culture, a globalized world and a good training in a foreign language go well together.

Some of the major obstacles to learn a foreign language are lack of motivation, time and high costs.

Lingofriends aims to redefine the way people meet, learn and exchange languages and cultural diversity online. The service offers a range of tools to support its users with their learning process, it´s all about getting the members to communicate and exchange their knowledge with a common interest in languages and cultures. The members can easily find friends who share their interests, people who will help them learn and practice a new language.

Lingofriends is striving for a less segregated community and we are convinced that our service is a step towards that goal.

Lingofriends is a private company located in Stockholm, Sweden. Since the launch in 2007 thousands of members across the globe has signed up to join the community. The service has grown to be the largest language community in Scandinavia.
