About Lingofriends
The founders of Lingofriends discovered a huge need
for facilitating language learning online between
people all around the world. Lingofriends is a
meeting place for all kind of people, interested in
language, and on all levels of expertise. The ambition
is to benefit communication between people in all
countries and between cultures irrespective of
gender, age, social status or origin.
At Lingofriends you create a personal profile with
information about yourself, to connect with new
friends, that either would like to learn or to teach
a language – or maybe both.
Lingofriends is the place to get introduced and
develop a long term knowledge exchange with
people all around the world. The members choose themselves how they would like to communicate,
either through various IM's, i.e. MSN Messenger
or perhaps throughmeetings in real life.
Lingofriends is a platform, to which you connect through different channels, i.e. Universities, language institutions/organizations, individual schools,
companies etc.
The communication between our members can
be in whatever language they choose. In the initial
phase the main language will be administered in
English, but the idea is to develop multilingual sites.
Lingofriends launched in August 2007. It is a
private company located in Stockholm, Sweden.
