Welcome to Lingofriends, a social utility for language interested people all around the world. The Lingofriends service and network (collectively, "Lingofriends" or "the Service") are operated by Lingofriends AB and its corporate affiliates (collectively, "us", "we" or "the Company").
By accessing or using our web site at www.Lingofriends or by posting a banner on your site, you (the "User") signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms of Use" or "Agreement"), whether or not you are a registered member of Lingofriends. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or delete portions of these Terms of Use at any time without further notice. If we do this, we will post the changes to these Terms of Use on this page and will indicate at the top of this page the date these terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Service or the Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Use. If you do not agree to abide by these or any future Terms of Use, do not use or access (or continue to use or access) the Service or the Site. Be Considerate to Others
This is a site for mature and considerate people to help each other learn in a supportive, encouraging and relaxing environment. Abuse and harassment will not be tolerated.
If you treat others in an abusive or harassing manner, you will be banned from this service.
If you see someone else behaving in an abusive or harassing manner, please report this to info@lingofriends.com
In addition, you will not upload any material that is illegal, libelous, defamatory, or anything that could violate the rights of other parties.
Use for Language Learning Only
You will not use the site to distribute or advertise commercial activities of other parties. You will not solicit Lingofriends members and guests to join outside sites or online services or organizations. You will not solicit Lingofriends members and guests for any reason other than to find a language exchange partner to improve the personal foreign language skills of yourself and that of your partners. Any material contained in this site is for your private personal use only. You may not download the material for commercial use.
Groups/Classrooms
If you are a teacher of a classroom of students under the age of 18, you may register a profile for your classroom and contact other teachers to arrange language exchange sessions between the students in your classrooms. You must arrange the contact and partnering information of your students with your partner teacher. You will not allow your students to use your profile.
Use Common Sense
Please be aware that Lingofriends does not verify the identities of its members or guests, nor do we verify the accuracy of the content they post. Do not divulge personal contact information such as your telephone number or address in public forums such as message boards or chat rooms.
Your Contact Information
You may not write your email address or other contact information in the public sections of the community such as the bulletin boards or the Description section of your profile.
Children Under 13 Years of Age
Children under age 13 may not join as members.
Limits of Liability
We are not liable for any harm or loss that results from your giving out of personal information over our site. We are not liable for any harm or loss that results from your use of any content from this site.
Your Password
You will keep your password secret and will report any breach of security.
Submissions
Any content you submit to Lingofriends becomes the property of Lingofriends. This includes but is not limited to ideas, concepts and designs you submit as suggestions to Lingofriends. However, personal information will be kept strictly confidential. Please see our privacy policy.
Privacy Policy
At Lingofriends we are committed to protecting the privacy of our members and guests. We only ask for personal information that is necessary to provide the services of this site to our members. Your email address will be used only to communicate club information to you such as sending a regular newsletter and to inform you of new features at Lingofriends. Personal information regarding any individual will never be given to outside parties. However, we may give aggregate information such as demographic statistics to potential advertisers or partners.
